Calendula (Calendula officinalis) belongs to the Composite family and is also known as the "gold of Mary".

Calendula is used in most of the skin problems: cuts, scratches, wounds, inflamed and reddened skin in general, including minor burns (also from tanning), acne and other skin eruptions, cutaneous mycoses. In fact, it is very useful as an antispasmodic and anti-inflammatory action with Soothing, Healing, Hydrating, Protective and refreshing.
Calendula flowers, in particular have soothing properties on irritations, accelerating the healing process of damaged skin.

Also useful in cases of diaper rash and soothe reddened nipples.
